How long does a session go for?

The session start and end time should be advertised. Most sessions are 45 minutes, but some might be 30 minutes or 1 hour.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you’re comfortable in – there are no rules! Runners will be required.

What should I bring?

You don’t need to bring anything but a water bottle, hat and sunscreen if it’s warm. We’ll bring all of the equipment.

Who will deliver the session?

The deliverers are contracted by Tennis Victoria and are qualified tennis coaches and/or personal trainers/group fitness instructors.

Can I turn up on my own?

Of course! You don’t need to bring a friend or partner. If you’d like to bring a friend, of course you’re welcome to.

What level of fitness do I need to participate?

You don’t need any particular level of fitness to get the most out of the program. It’s designed as a low-impact, introductory level program. However, the activities can be modified to suit any level of ability. If you think you’re ready for something more advanced, check out Cardio Tennis. But we’d love you to give Get Into Cardio Tennis a try first.

What level of tennis skill do I need?

You don’t need any tennis ability whatsoever! We start with a lot of activities just throwing the ball, and work up to hitting and rallying. If you have played before, you’ll probably enjoy the challenges the park environment brings.

How much does it cost?

A single session costs $10 and we offer 5 and 10 pass card options which reduce the cost per session.

Why isn’t there a session closer to me?

We’re starting the program in February 2015 in approximately 20 locations across Melbourne and Geelong. Our longer term plan is to expand to further areas. If you’d like to express your interest in a particular area for our consideration, please complete our online form.

Is it the same activities every week?

Not every week. We have a wide range of activities and while you might see some of the favourites pop up frequently, there are loads of different activities so you will experience variation each week.

Do I have to register in advance?

We require you to be registered before you do the session. You can do this online, or on your phone via the Mind Body app. Alternatively, our deliverer can register you at the venue before the session begins – please arrive slightly earlier to do this. It’s quicker to do it beforehand. If you can’t register online, or via the app, please phone 8420 8420 (during business hours).

How do I redeem my free trial card?

To use your free trial card when booking a session for the first time, select Free Introductory Class from the pricing options. Register now.

Can I pay for a session when I come to a class?

We request that you don’t hand over cash to our deliverers. If you can’t register and pay in advance, the deliverer will process it for you via their smart phone before the session. Please bring your credit card details.

Will the session run if it’s raining?

Yes. The session will go ahead in the rain. Only in extremely bad weather such as lightning, flooding or hail storm will the session be cancelled. Please see our extreme weather policy.

Do the classes get cancelled in extremely hot weather?

Yes. We operate in accordance with Tennis Australia’s heat policy.

What is the minimum age for participation?

People over the age of 15 may participate unsupervised. People younger than 15 must be accompanied by a supervising participant and activities may be modified in those partnerships. The program is not suited to children under the age of 12.
